I picked up a 216 motor that I don't have in the car yet, before I drop it in I gonna put it on a engine dollie that I made so I can fire it up and check how its running and just it ready for the drop in.

My question is while the motor is in the testing and cleaning stage the oil canister will be off.

Does the oil inlet and out let have to be connected, as in does the oil have to flow back around? Or can they be plugged for now?

I know there is the other copper line on the side that needs to be there just not sure about the oil filter line.

Question 2 is how do you tell if you have a car motor and a truck motor?

And witch is better?

Don't run it very long without having a cooling system intact!
