1936. generator rebuild works goods. but i plan on doing more nighe driveing .are they any thing can be done to this generator. or 1 was told there is something called a gener nator that looks like your generator. that put out more amps. thanks

You can set up the output on the third brush for a higher output for night driving.

Generator output is limited by the design of the commutator and the strength of solder. As JunkYardDogJunkYardDog stated there is a certain amount of adjustment but I dont advise going beyond that.

You can set the 36 generator for 15-20 amps because it is cooled by the fan and open back. That should be plenty unless you are using halogen lamp bulbs.

If it is a show car you would not want to do this, but I run later model 30 amp generators and voltage regulators on my cars that originally had the 20 amp cut out generators.
