Does anyone know where I can find a special cylinder head to convert a 235 engine into a huge vacuum pump?
I want to build up a Honey Pot truck and sell it to a "sanitary engineering company" , a "Super Pooper scooper"using a 700-1000 gallon propane tank.
Back in the 1960s I ran an oilfield vacuum truck that had a Chevrolet 235 engine with a special head that was a vacuum pump, it had a PTO shaft that turned the engine with a double set of V-belts, one double pulley was mounted on a jack shaft that the PTO turnes and the engine flywheel had another double belt pully. You would run the truck engine at 1500-2000 Rpm and the 235 turned around 2500 RPM and it would suck up 110 Barrels of drilling mud in 10 or 15 minutes. We had a valve setup so that the exhaust side could be put into the huge pressure tank to blow the mud out into another pit. We would move the drilling fluids from an old drilling location to the new location when the drilling rig was moved. We could also suck up almost any fluid even slush pit Bottom Settleings for disposal, or the way they did it those days was to oil the lease roads with it.
