I noticed that wind wings were available in '32, could someone tell me about them? Size?, color/s?, what material were they made from? how attached?

Most important where are some pictures of them? Are they re-made today or only NOS?

Gator wind wings are the same as wing vents i the early fifties, but different. They mount on the outside of the front doors. they consist of hinges brackets and glass panes, the brackers are being reproduced and they are a bit pricey. I have a pic of one ,a '28: let's see what I can do:

The wind wings used on 1932 closed cars (except cabriolet) were called "Draft Deflectors", and they are different than those used in 1928. For pictures of the correct 1932 wind wings used on the open cars, and the 1932 draft deflectors used on the closed cars, you need to order the 1932 accessory catalog from the Filling Station. All of the early 1932 accessories are illustrated in that piece of literature. \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D

Sure is a nice looking car, MrMack. Only problem is we can't see what kind of tractor is on the other side.

Demanding......?? Hum.......I don't know.......I might have to wip my Junkyard Puppies into shape down the road! ha ha! \:D \:D

The 1931-32 closed car draft deflectors are very different. The brackets consist of two half moons per side with a Chevy bow tie stamped on the front, and etc. Macky Wacky, ya need to get a 1932 reprint of the accessory catalog and you can see the difference, and then when ya are done with it you can send it to Gator. The 1931-32 draft deflectors are very cool. \:D \:D

Car?.......what car? I was looking at the tractor in the background!

Neither! The JunkYardDogJunkYardDog tinkled on them and it bleached out the rubber and turned the tires white. Hey, it's cheaper than buying white wall tires ain't it? Man, that Coors sure works wonders!!! \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D

JunkYardDogJunkYardDog,

In your first post you said "except cabriolet", my car is a cabriolet so what did the cabriolet have or use?

The Filling Station is in process of putting out a new catalog so I'm still waiting for one. Hopefully it will come soon.

Ok, JunkYardDogJunkYardDog as to your question which part of the tire is holding the air, Well, it is the tube that is holding the air, and as to why it is called an inner-tube is because it holds the air IN the tire! so the part of the tire that holds the air in is the inside of the tire, and Oliver Hardy, that is that..

Well JunkYardDogJunkYardDog I guess that depends.............on whether you has whitewalls or blackwalls, I have blackwalls so.......it must be the blackwall sidewalls. Okay?

Also I don't have no sissy wind wings either, don't need any, Mrs Mack keeps me cool with cold drinks and a cool look once in a while.

JunkYardDogJunkYardDog I don't have NO stinkin' whitewalls, inside outside or sideways!!

I just have black wall Allstate Nylon tires with red rubber inner tubes holding the air inside the tires, what I gotta do to get it thru your T***K Haid! "Old Buddy, Buddy"

Hum, now I gets it! Old Mack Wacky is blind as a bat! Seems to me's that we was all talkin' about them there whitey walls that's on the photo of the '28 that Macky Wacky posted above. Okay, if them there ain't whitey walls then them there must be pinky walls, because they sure as hell ain't no blacky walls. Poor Macky Wacky....looks like he has a been drinkin' too much of that there Buttswipper beer lately. \:D \:D \:D \:D \:D

Hey guys, tell me about cabriolet wing wings,
is there a problem with wings when you lay the windshield down? Were there made of glass? what about colors? Would etching the glass cost you points or not? I have noticed a lot of F*#ds have glass etching on them.

"them sissy wind wings"? Never knew that.
