I noticed that wind wings were available in '32, could someone tell me about them? Size?, color/s?, what material were they made from? how attached?
Most important where are some pictures of them? Are they re-made today or only NOS?

Gator wind wings are the same as wing vents i the early fifties, but different. They mount on the outside of the front doors. they consist of hinges brackets and glass panes, the brackers are being reproduced and they are a bit pricey. I have a pic of one ,a '28: let's see what I can do:

JunkYardDog, In your first post you said "except cabriolet", my car is a cabriolet so what did the cabriolet have or use? The Filling Station is in process of putting out a new catalog so I'm still waiting for one. Hopefully it will come soon.

Ok, JunkYardDog as to your question which part of the tire is holding the air, Well, it is the tube that is holding the air, and as to why it is called an inner-tube is because it holds the air IN the tire! so the part of the tire that holds the air in is the inside of the tire, and Oliver Hardy, that is that..

Hey guys, tell me about cabriolet wing wings, is there a problem with wings when you lay the windshield down? Were there made of glass? what about colors? Would etching the glass cost you points or not? I have noticed a lot of F*#ds have glass etching on them. "them sissy wind wings"? Never knew that.

Gator, Yes sissy "Wind Wings" No JunkYardDog , That picture is not my car! I would not have those sissy "wind wings" to bump my head and keep me from spitting out the window and "sissy whitewall tires" on my car for a JunkYardDog to tinkle on.

Thanks Bill the pictures really helped, are remakes of the orginal wing wings for sale somewhere today.
What about etching on the glass, ever seen it done on Chevys?
I like the wings also, so I guess both of us are "sissies", wonder what people put on a car to make it "manly"? Larger cranks maybe?

Donald, did you get dipped when you left the Lone Star State or did they dip you when you came in? I see you weren't too broke to leave, lucky you. Here you been jerking my chain and you are practially a native Texican! My, my, and you were asking me whut the state burd of Texas is! The wind blows pretty large pebbles around up there on "The High Plains! (we don't call the High Plains a desert) And I am one of those durned "Red Raiders! " The Class of 1959 ......God Bless Texas!.....and God Bless you too!

Well Donald, It is better to have loved and lived, even in Lubbock , Texas than to have loved a lot and to be burried in Graceland for 25 years. Right? I got Lubbock , Texas in my rear view mirror, and I am headed for the Promised Land of Milk and Honey, where Fruits not only grows on trees....but walks the streets and where you can pick gold nuggets up off the ground! Yeah! Heck! you ever heard of Wacky Macky Davisy?

Well, JunkYardDog, just might head over to Roswell and go thru the rehab to get converted to "another being than being a Texican" I think it is kinda like being abducted and taken into Cyberspace....I went once but it didn't take, a Chicken Fried Steak and some Bar-b-Qued Armadillo and I back-slid. My family all sang "The Eyes of Texas are upon you!"...., and I was BACK....

JunkYardDog the I found that the only way I can get the Chevrolet to go is to tell her (Klinkerbelle) that The air in N.Mexico is almost as good as Texas and Illinois air, But she just lets me get the front two tires out of state. We had a ceremony and now shw is officially a Texas car

My Mom and Dad took me to the Saint Louis Mo. zoo when I was a little tyke and I liked it so much they wanted to leave me! But my grandma (she lived in Mo.) made them take me back to Texas! Donald and JunkYardDog , you don't need to worry about being lonely in Texas, I think if we can clean you all up and get you all in some proper attire you and your old cars would feel right at home in Texas, Well maybe somewhere in Texas! Don't you think maybe ,Chipper?

What are you trying to do to Ray have him flown back to the left coast in a white wrap-around jacket! I don't look at it myself without a pair of rose colored welding goggles!

It is not lonely here in Texas. Geeze there are cows across the street, armadillos, possums, and raccoons in the yard. Minnesota state birds flying all over the place. Deer and hogs roaming the woods. There are even a couple of houses that we can see the lights from at night. We visit with our neighbors at the mailbox.
It sure beats the heck out of feeling you need to bless the neighbor when he sneezes, or have his dog mess in your yard when out for a walk or excuse yourself when you pass gas. I can even skinny dip in my own pool without worrying about embarrassing anyone, me or the neighbors.
Besides if you feel lonely just sign-in to this chat page.
No need to send Ray or anyone else. We already have too many people moving here. I think half of silicone valley has moved to Austin and really screwed it up. Traffic jams are as bad as the 405 on Friday afternoon.
But if any of you decide to come on down, you will find out what Southern Hospitality really means.
Don't load the shotgun yet Mack. But keep your ear to the ground. If you hear unbalanced wheels, rusty, rattling bodies, or overloaded, unshod goats, blow the bugle the bell. The militia will be ready.
