Hello,
I am making my migration from the 1930 truck I've had for years to this forum.
I bought a 1957 210 4 door sedan from Missouri. It has 34,000 mile-and yes it really does have 34,000.
My question is my son and I removed the ugly black seat covers the little old lady put on the back seat over 54 years ago.
I have a real good reference book for the tri-fives and the color combination is not shown for 1957.
The vinyl panel has ridges and is a real nice ivory color, the fabric is blue with gold flecks in it.

It looks close to a combination for 1956. It was made in Kansas City in late 1956 and wondered if it was a leftover from that year. The VIN numbers indicate it is a 1957.
Anybody got any ideas?

The trim number for a blue 1957 210 interior is 656. This number will be on the body ID tag riveted to the firewall. Being an early 1957 the tag will be almost in the center of the firewall behind the engine.

From the not too good picture it looks like the normal 1957 210 interior to me.

The Oct serial numbers from the Kansas City plant would run from 1001 thru to 107857

Gosh, I should have looked at the picture better. The part that looks light blue is actually ivory. I'll look on the ID tag and see what the code is.
Thanks CN.

The 1956 210 material was as follows. The vinyl was off white with a slight pebble design.....or you could call it oatmeal.
The cloth was ribbed - horizontal - with a silver thread in each rib. The actual material samples are in the 1956 Showroom albumn.

Hey Chevgene,
I got the trim and other numbers off the ID plate
Style: 57-1019
Body No.: K17718
Trim: 654 C
Paint: 822C

On a lists I found on line the 654 Trim is ivory vinyl and charcoal cloth
My car is the Ivory vinyl but the cloth is blue with gold flex.
There is a cloth in the book I have like that but it is for 1956.
Thanks for your help.

The car is dusk pearl and ivory so it will have a black and ivory interior.

I hate beating a dead horse but as you can see in this picture
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/c...ct/DSCF1389.jpg
the seats aren't gray or back. They really are blue. There are other pictures I just took with my actual camera that shows the color pretty well.
It just doesn't match the illustrations I have seen.

Does the back seat match the front seat? Might have been replaced from a wrecking yard.

Hi Richard,
I found another 210 sedan just like mine and it's interior was just like mine.

The fronts do match the back. However there were some ugly black covers on the front and the back that protected the back much better than the front.
I think there must have been an interior offered early on that wasn't in the books or on the charts. I like it. Just hope I can find somebody that can find the material when the time comes to redo the interior.
Thanks everybody for your help.
