I have a 31 sport coupe ready for an interior. I plan to use a kit, possibly from Hampton Coach, but I have not yet decided on that. My question is, what is a realistic cost to install such a kit? I have only gotten one price estimate of $1,400.00. I think that is a little high. I have not yet had an opportunity to get other estimates. I really don't even know anyone around me (central NJ) that is familiar with the interior for this car.

Any opinions or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

I hate to pop your bubble, but $1,400 may be in the right ballpark. Installing a kit is fairly time-consuming. Not SUPER difficult but a pain-in-the-a** if you don't have experience with upholstery techniques.

Since the kit comes in a million pieces, it'll take about a week and a half to install.
8 days X 8 Hours X $30/hour = $1,920

It does add up quickly. :-(
