Love the look of this Bel Air! Plus it recently underwent a fully documented frame-off rotisserie restoration which utilized 1955 sheet metal. http://www.youtube.com/rkmotorscharlotte#p/u/2/xZPYVhzKABw

The original colors of my 55 convertible are Regal Turquoise and India Ivory. It will soon be going back to those colors. That was my favorite color combination for 55

If your dash is regal turquoise and the window garnish moldings are the same, I'd take the glove box door, the ash tray and either one of the window garnish moldings to a reliable paint shop and have the color matched. That's what I did back in the early 90's. The paint shop owner said the parts were all different because they were painted at different times but the rest of the story is they used the parts to make me a real regal turquoise. The india ivory is easy to match. I used urethane with clear on top and the paint still looks great. My car was an original 36,000 mile car but by the early 90's the nitrocelluous lacquer was in bad shape. I bought the '55 in '76. And be warned there are a least 3 turquoise colors for the '55 to '57 cars. Regal, tropical and twilight all different shades of turquoise and '57 twilight is a non metallic color...

Not that it's needed; but I can vouch for that!!! Joe took his '55 Bel Air post to the NW Mini-Meet in Siverton, Ore a few weeks ago. Everybody commented about his GREAT looking car. I can't remember the odometer reading, but it's a real, genuine original. As I recall, it still has the original interior....
