TargaBob Grease Monkey Registered: 08/03/11 Posts: 1 Loc: Davis, CA	Hi all, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post here. I'm searching for a particular 57 but unfortunately have only the body number rather than the VIN. I contacted GM several years ago to see if they maintained records with body numbers and they do not. Any suggestions on how one might find the VIN for this car? Thanks, Bob

There is no direct correlation from body number to VIN, exactly. A friend of mine has a car that rolled off the assm line right directly in front of mine but the are 15 numbers different in the VIN...Joe
