junkyard--if you can't sell a boneyard full of engines, maybe you need need to find a new endeavor. you did start um up and run um for the customer, right? or were you selling scrap iron? i use to sell used engines. i started them up and they hauled them off. when they left my driveway they owned it.

Dog, you are 100% correct. The last "rebuilt" engine that sold on ebay went for around 1100. My first thought was that fishing wasn't going on after reading this entire thread. I then went to ebay and find out the seller knows a heck of a lot more then me regarding pricing of a 1931 chevy engine- and so, Ron, in my book you were on the $ concerning the fishing call. Go to ebay and make your own judgement after reading the description....

With all the hype ("eight to ten-thousand dollars, or more" to rebuild) attached to this fellows eBay listing it seems he knows a lot more (or thinks he does) about "what this is worth" than most of the Chevy folks on this website; then WHY ask in the first place? No one is going to pay that much for an old 192 engine unless it is gold plated. Hope he hasn't spent the money yet............

Dog; What size boat would you recommend this item would be suitable for, and how strong a current would it hold against?

I am looking for the front bumper brackets for a 1930 Chevy coup. They are approximately 2 inches wide, 3/16" thick steel bar, bent over double in the center , with a 5/8" hole through both pieces for the attachment bolts to the front frame horns. The 5/8' holes sit just below the Main bumper brace bracket Thanks Steven stpjepyahoo
