Hi, I'm working on getting my fathers 1922 490 running again. Of course there's not anything left to the distributor housing. The rest of it seems to be in good order. I need help finding out what years would interchange. Would a 1926, 1927 374a be a possible option? Is it the same housing if internals are different? Thanks for any info. George

You can use a later cast housing but it takes some modification. Not too tough to do.

It has been too long ago to remember what we did. It was not too complicated and I think it had to do with the advance arm or points plate with one having a direct link and the other pivoting on a pin. The good part is that the housing is the same size and uses the same cap.
