I have a 2004 Crew Cab Pickup 4x4 that I purchased new. The truck has 40,000 miles on it, within the past year I replaced brakes, shocks and tires. This is my primary vehicle to commute to and from work - never been off-road, it's been babied since day one. Recently, I noticed a metallic grinding sound that starts around 15 mph and disapears around 30mph. I've checked the u-joints, they were find...check to make sure that the disk brake dust shields were not rubbing, no issues there...I went thru and checked all fluid levels pertaining to the drive line - all good. I'm kinda stuck were to go from here - any help from the membership would be greatly appreciated!!

Front Hub/Bearing ? Its a sealed unit. Not uncommon for them to go bad.

Thanks... I think it's coming from the rear of the truck ( hard to tell, windows down / radio off ) but I'll look into it

Thanks again Don - you were correct... it was the hub bearing, the left side...
