Hi there,
My question is with regard to the fixing of the front seat frame in the car of my 34 chev standard 4 door sedan.

Obviously I have to attach it to the floor with brackets of some description, but I seem to remember that it is also fixed through the sides at the top and to the centre door pillar?
I can see one largish hole each side on the pillar and suspect that this is the position of the attachment point?

Can anyone with a 34 please confirm this ?

I would also like to install seat belts and wonder how others have done this in their cars?
Is welding brackets on to the centre pillar top bracket a possibility to achieve this.
Cheers
Peter

Check the photos I posted at the upper left. It shows the hardware on the floor and under the seat frame. The front rides on a short track while the rear glides on two knobs.
These photos are from Master cars although yours should be similar.
Hope this helps.

hi there PatS,
cant see any pics?
the standard in Australia had I believe, fixed front seats and part of the fixing was through the centre pillar and the rest fixed to the floor, with possible a 2x2 inch timber at the front to give the seat some backrest incline.

A friend has a 35 master and that has sliding seats with 4 inches of for and aft movement.

so where are your pics?

I am going to look at a 35 standard that I discovered at the weekend at a car rally.
I will take my camera and click away for future reference. Just hope that the 35 is similar to my 34, then I can find how thinks fit together....
cheers
Peter

Peter,

They are on the upper left of the screen under VCCA member's photos. If you are not a member you can't look at them. If that's the case, let me know and I'll post them in the forum, that is if they'll help.
