I have a 1933 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe body in need of a chassis (frame) can anyone tell me if the coupe and sedan use the same chasis (frame)

Also how do you tell the difference between the standard, master and eagle body styles, I've seen various cars (5 window coupes) called all three names.

I need help please

there were no 5 window coupes built in the standard(mercury series). all 5 windows coupes were built in the master (eagle series). one way to tell the std from master is the bumper deminsions. i have those at home if you need them

The 1933 Standards were also some times refered to as the Mercury series. The parts book refers to them as "standard" or CC series. There were much fewer produced than the Eagle series and they are quite rare. They were only available in a three window coupe (with or with out rumble seat) and a two door....The Eagle or CA series were a full line of body styles and there was a three and five window coupe.Three window had a rumble seat. They are refered to as Masters at times-but Eagle is most correct. The cars look somewhat alike but nothing interchanges-body-frame,engine or drive line. The Standard frame has a crossmember just forward of the rear axle that kicks up in the center to clear the drive shaft. There is a gusset about a foot long on each side-running diagonaly to the side rail. The same cross member in the Eagle frame is farther forward and lines up with the rear running board brackets. It also has a long plate along side of the rear engine crossmember on each side -riveted to the side rail.Hope this helps :p

The use of the description Eagle or Master when applied to the 1933 Chevrolet has always caused confusion.

There is ample information to indicate that when the 1933 model line was introduced it was called the EAGLE.

This description continued until the introduction of the STANDARD in March of 1933.

After the introduction of the STANDARD, the EAGLE is referenced in most Chevrolet publications as the MASTER.

For identification purposes the EAGLE may be identified by the lack of a divider between the wind wing and the window glass. The divider moves with the window glass. In the MASTER, the divider is stationary and the wind wing and the window glass move on their own. This change was made at approximately the same time as the introduction of the STANDARD in March.

OM's were changed on or about June or July.
