I'm a new member. Just got a '30 sedan. Wondering where I might find this information? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks.

In a word " Many". Not as many maybe as F@#*ds, But many. They are on eBay all the time. I have a 30 Standard coupe and there are many of them, as well as sport coupes. If you have a "survivor", a sedan with orginal interior etc. maybe just a repaint or so that is a little more rare, but there are quite a number of even those available on eBay and other sources. Those that have survived though should be kept as original as possible in the opinion of most on this chat site. When they are rodded out we try to salvage as many parts as possible. What are your plans for yours? Hope you decide to maintain the originality of it as they are getting fewer all the time, with the rodders chopping and channeling and such, with the many they are purchasing off of eBay. Enjoy your Chevy. I hope to purchase a 4 door sedan someday myself so that my whole family will be able to go for a cruise. chevy

Welcome to Chevy Chatter II. Glad to have you with us!

Speedy1 one is correct....a 1930 sedan is very common and there are still a lot of them around.

I plan on keeping it original. I am the third owner, the fellow I purchased it from in Cotter, Arkansas, acquired it in 1976 from original owner, the grandfather of one of his high school friends in Gainesville, Mo.. As nearly as I can tell, it is 95% complete, 99% original, no rust, runs and shifts well, rides well. Has sill rotted on passenger side and original material insert in roof is pulled a little loose on all four corners. Original paint, etc. I am pretty excited about it! Thanks for the info.

Sounds great. Post some photos. Good luck with your "new" car.

There is a VCCA member near Conway that has two '30 sedans. One is original and driven often. The other is under restoration.

Good to know there is someone else in my area in case I need to "eyeball" something. Is it kosher to post a link to a video of car? And if so, where? I'll try to get a photo up here. Thanks.
