I have an original Wiry Joe wiring harness that someone passed on to me for my 1946 1/2 Chevrolet pickup. The box is lettered in someone's handwriting for 1942-1946 commercial. The gauge cluster connectors from the wiring harness are a different size than my original "46" gauge cluster which is the correct for the year . Could some one provide me some information, color code, pictures etc. so I could determine what the correct one should look like..
It does not, someone wrote in ink 1942-1946 commercial, however, the leads do not fit into the 1946 gauge cluster.
Mike since I left this posting I was able to locate another Wiry Joe wiring harness on the internet with a number 1531, I believe this fits 1941-42 Chev Deluxe and Master, would it also fit my truck ?

Bernie, Sorry, I had not looked in on your posts for a few days. I do not believe the harness from a passenger car would be the same as the truck. Since leaving my earlier question about a part number, I located my Wirey Joe Catalog. Unfortunately, it only covers models through 1939.

Thanks for looking. I agree with you, I checked the wiring diagram on the number of gauge clusters connectors for the truck versus car, they are different.
Actually I would like to find an nos wiry joe for my 46 1/2 ton.
I have located a" Wiry Joe" NOS wiring harness, and I would like to verify it will fit my 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. The number on the box is 1533, can anyone verify this will fit my truck?
