I'm looking for information on the 34 battery box, I'm at the point in restoring my car that I need this information. I would like to know if anyone knows what the 34 battery box looks like? Would someone take a picture of one for me? Would someone know how to make one?

I got pictures showing the battery box in my Standard, somewhere. The steel used is about 1/8" thick and has a long round head bolt fixed on the side of the box which stops the battery from falling out.
I read in the G&D a few years back of a car wrecker in Vancouver, WA which the article had pictures. They had a 34 Chevy Coupe as a display, out the front. I can't recall company's name, other than it had the word 'American'in the name of the company...'American Classic Car Parts' or something like that.
Since you live in the area, you probably already know about this company or heard of it? My thoughts are, that the Chev might be still on display (I think it was shot pretty bad with rust) and the owners of the company may let you see how the battery box is made.

That was a "Junkyard Dogs" story in the G&D a few years back, and the name of the wrecking yard is "All American Classics". Yes, Brucie has been there with the Junkyard Dogs and that old '34 coupe is still sitting out in front rusting away.

Just so you guys know the coupe is no longer out by the road. The road is being widened this year and they had to move it! I think they are going to put it back but I don't know!

I seen a Master 34 battery box today. From what I seen, the battery is located just behind the pedals (talking right hand drive)which I'd imagine would still be on the right side of chassis on the Fisher Bodies.
There is a plate covering part of the inside chassis rails which bends over and down on the back section of the railing and then has a hook at the very end.
Under the seat, there is a similair set-up, and what happens is the battery box simply locks into the two hooks, with a long bolt running horizontally which holds everything in place.
I've since sent 32confederate an e-mail.
