don't recall any recent posts regarding fan belts for the 194 ci engines but i needed to replace the one on our 30 recently and went about town looking for one that would fit. came up with two belts , a Dayco top cog # 17360 which is a bit narrower and a bit smaller circumferance than what i'd like. it will go on and are probably readily available, if nothing more to keep on board as a spare. also got a Gates truck and bus series belt, # tr24379 which is what i believe to be the correct width of the original belt and it 's circumferance is just about perfect--no need to fight to get the belt on and when new, the generator tightens in the mid-position of the generator brace. only downside to the gates is its being a cog belt(cogs not on outer surface of belt but in contact with the pulleys).price of gates was 12 frogskins. mike

I use a L538 from Tractor Supply (5/8" wide and 38" circumference). They are Kevlar and work well despite being intended for mowers and such.

Mike,
The dayco no. 24380 is the match to an original belt but is only in the cog version now.
There was talk on this subject not too long ago. Bruce Deford found a match in a foreign belt but I don't have any info on exactly what belt it is.
