sounds like something's getting hot, so resistance is increasing enough to prohibit adequate current flow. poor connections (including inside of switch), partially broken conductor, too small gauge of wire. a bad condenser or coil may cause this also. check for frayed insulation, pinched wire. when allowed to cool resistance goes down and currents flows again. check voltages at different places in the ignition system when cold then drive it until it quits. check voltages again. good luck

Draadkar, i had a similar problem with our '30 coupe. being lazy, i didn't change out the condenser during the last tune up. foolish me. after installing the new condenser..perfection. could be just that cheap and simple..or not. jim
