was the face plate of the horn chrome plated? were there none or 6 readial cut-outs on the outer periphery of the face plate? our 31 cabriolet horn's face plate is chromed and it has the 6 radial cutouts whereas the horn on the 30 pcikup lacks the 6 radial cut-outs. otherwise , the two horns appear to be identical, if in fact the horns are original to the car and truck. thanks, mike

A 1930 horn is not at all like a 1931 Cabroilet horn. The 1930 horn is a Klaxon C-8, all black and has a trumpet, not a pancake horn like 1931. A motor driven horn used late 1925 to 30
