I'm looking for some help to solve a valve train oiling problem with my 1929 Chevrolet 6 cylinder engine. I have oil going to the rocker arm assembly. The rocker arm assembly has been rebuilt. Problem: the oil runs out where the brass elbow oil line connector ends fit into the ends of the rocker shafts. Also, I removed all the oiling wicks from the rocker arms and no oil is coming out any of the holes. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction to correct this problem and get oil to all the places it is supposed to go.
Also, is it safe to take the little valve with the spring out of the oil distributor? I did this trying to get more oil to the rocker arm assembly. I put in one of the gear type oil pumps from New Zeland when I replaced one of the rods. Billy Moore, Ukiah, CA
