Does anyone have a drawing of the special tool needed to adjust the brakes on these cars(1929)? I believe it goes on the cross shaft. Thanks in advance for any help. Ron

How much different is the 29 version tool from the 28 version? I have some detailed drawings I made from a 28 version I borrowed, Gary Wallace sells them.

I use the service bulletin's picture and set up a proportion using a micrometer and measured the distance between the pins on the cross schaft. With this information I fabricated the tool. Works great.

Popcorn, Fellow '29 Chevy lover. I sure could use one of those brake "widgits" too! Are you going to make any extras? Please let me know if you are. 1929 Chevrolet AC International Coach

Hello Mr. Mack; I have been told that the 28 and 29 tools are different. I have gotten a couple of leads on this board that I am going to follow. I appreciate your input.

Capt. Harley Only if I get to retire! Someday I may get the old popcorn lady to take a picture and post it.

Popcorn, I'd would definitely pay you for one of the tools. However, I doubt you would be able to retire on what I could afford to pay!!!..... 1929 Chevrolet: A Six in the Price Range of a Four!
