I am about to re-install the body on to the frame on my 30 roadster.I have some questions about where the body webbing goes.Is it in one piece along each side of the frame rails or is it cut in short sections, fitting between the body mounting pads? Does the webbing fit between the frame rail and the running board splash shield? Is there more webbing between the body and the splash apron shield? Also I see a product listed in Garry Wallaces catalogue called body belt line material in 4 or 8 ft lengths. Is this also an anti-squeek webbing and where does it go? Thanks in advance for some clarification on this

There are two different types of materials used....body webbing and anti-squeak. Body webbing is a flat, wide woven material that is used between the frame and the body, and anti-squeak is a black shiny material with a round bead on one edge and it is used between the fenders and the body and etc.

For example, the body webbing is used on the frame rail and then the running board splash aprons sits on top of the webbing. The black anti-squeak with the bead is used in such areas as between the rear fender and the body, between the front fender and the running board splash apron, between the running board and the front and rear fenders and etc.

Thanks for the info. Just to clarify it for myself, would I drill hotes in the body webbing for the body mounting bolts to go through or wouild I cut a small section out of the webbing to allow room for the body mounting pad, also should I glue this webbing down to the frame rail?

Yes, you can install the body webbing as all one piece if you prefer and then drill holes in the webbing for the body bolts. That's what I did on my '30 and it worked great.

Again, on my '30, I glued the body webbing in a couple of places to make things easier when installing the running board splach aprons.

I dont want to beat this thing to death but can you tell me does the webbing stop at the cowl, or does it continue on underneath the front fender ?
