I have a 47 Chevy Convertible, still have the 6 volt system. When I hit the starter pedal sometimes it hesitates before turning the engine over, the next time it turns just fine. It has never failed me but sometimes it puts a great deal of doubt in your mind. Is this normal or should I be getting it checked?

I would suspect the starter. It may be developing some problems in the windings or the armature.

If I had known that growing old would be this much fun---I'd have done it sooner!

Sort of my thoughts also. Sounds like a winter problem to check out.

Thanks looks like you are going to have a nice one also. Don't think I can make Flint but would love to be there.

Check, clean, and tighten all the connections.
