i just picked up a hole bunch of 490 stuff. 2 rolling chassis, allmost all of 1 body,3 sets of wheels, 3 engines,4 trans,so many parts it hard to inventory.
i have been looking for the missing parts and i've had a heck of a time. there just isnt allot of parts or info on the 490, still glad its not a ford.
just came across the vcca site and i think im going to join. you guys seem like a great source of info. hope to get to know some of you all.

i don't real know. i think the most complete car is a 1916 and the bodiless car is a 17. i only say that because the date on the engines. one is a Halloween day car. the extra engine is newer i think, it doesn't have the same numbering system. it very similar but is defiantly different.

Yes, Ken. Kari and I (and our oldest son, Ragnar) will be in Flint next July.

bjcbk:
I sent the pictures to this adress: bkcbk623aagmail.co and they have not been refused/returned yet. I used your profile.
The link is only showing our pick up from 31.

Hi Steven,

Try this link, its a on line copy of a 1916 to 1928 parts manual.

http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1916_28parts/index.htm

I actually have a hard copy, but I find it easier to use the on line version.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Ray
