Hello,
Was a passenger door lock factory standard on a 1946 1/2 ton and was this lock the same design as on a 1947 truck?

By door lock I assume you want the latch.
The latch was the same From 1942-1946 and this would be for jobs with the lock cylinder in the door. The 1941 and early 1942 had the cylinder in the handle and used a different lock. A 1947 would be the more modern Advanced Design truck and thats completely different.
The are two versions of the 1946 truck. The early version had all painted chrome such as the grille, bumpers, hub caps, etc. It was bascilly a 1942. The late 1946 had chrome, came out in the Spring of 1946 and continued through the Spring of 1947....sometimes called a 1947 truck as that is how they were titled in some states. A true 1947 is the A.D. truck
