I don't usually peruse this forum, but I came across the attached phot online of the Chevrolet Oakland, CA. plant taken in 1916. Supposedly this was one of the earliest photos taken of the plant and it struck a chord with me. I thought it was interesting and should be shared. My apologies if it was posted previously. -Bob

The fenders may have been missing due to a manufacturing shortage or supply delay. The white tires were manufactured from white rubber( as it comes from the trees) and had not had carbon black added to them at that stage.
