Hello Ken31, and welcome to Chevy Chatter II

Firing order is: 1-5-3-6-2-4, with number 1 being at the front and number 6 at the rear.

Here's a website with lots of info on the 31:

http://1931chevrolet.com/

This site was set up by Chevy Chatter II's own webmaster, Mr. Bill Barker.

You'll find a lot of good people here on Chatter II with years and years of experience, and more than willing to help with any questions.

Good luck with your project.

Happy Motoring,

Dan

The firing order is also embossed on the exhaust manifold.

Thanks a lot for the info guys! Any suggestions on spark plug gap and timing settings? According to the manual the gap should be .022, however I've heard some suggest as big as .045...

Also, while we're at it... point gaps? I don't have the manual in front of me, but I think it suggested .018. Any suggestions?
