What is the trick to remove the lock from the trunk handle so as i can get it to the chrome shop...

It will be necessary to drive out a very little pin. Its on the part of the handle that soes through the opening - just where the unfinished part of the handle begins. Its off set a bit and not much larger than a paper clip and goes completely through the handle,

I believe it's a 1/16" diameter pin. On a used handle, it's sometimes hard to see, but it's there - as Gene says, offset from the middle, going from top to bottom. You'll need a small punch to drive it out. Mine was in pretty tight. In fact as I recall, one end had been punched (this isn't the right term, but I can't recall it at the moment) to keep it from coming out inadvertently. We ground it down a little...
