I am new to this Forum, I am looking where I can locate rear spring bumper retainers for my 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup.

The Filling Station, Chev's of the 40's, Jim Carter truck parts.

You will need to find used ones. I do not think reproductions are available.

Are the brackets you are looking for the ones that are held in place by the U bolts on top of the springs or do they bolt to the frame? I have salvaged a couple of these trucks but don't remember which place the bracket is located. I will check to see if I have a pair.

The retainers sit on top of the spring seats and are held down by the U-bolts. I hope you have what I am looking for

I believe I have the retainers you are looking for. They were removed from a 1941 1/2 ton.
