So couple of weeks ago I stopped by the parts house to check on prices for Ignition parts for a 29 that I have been working on for a friend. Below are the prices which I was quoted and they are much higher then the Filling Station's. Thought everyone should know how the Filling Station is working for us.

- - - - - - - - - -Baxter - - - - - - - -Filling Station
Cap DR-402 $16.99 ==========> $15.00
Rotor DR-157 $19.99 ========> $8.50
Points DR-1819 $26.99 ======> $14.50
Condenser DR-70 $11.99 =====> $6.95

Good Job, and thanks for the great Service!

Thank you, to everyone at the Filling Station.

Good info Bruce. Good comparison info. The Filling Station gets my vote. Certainly a good place to do "business." Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful answering questions, etc. Highly recommended....

Bill.

The filling Station has done me well.

The turn around time on getting the materials to me has been extremely fast.

I, too, have had much success with my dealings at the Filling Station. I could have searched around and found something comprable but knowing I'm getting the part I need without second guessing whether it is right or not certainly eases the conscious. Now if we could get the shipping companies to lower their prices I would be in heaven.

I second the motion on the second item. Just received two very small packing rings for a water pump today. Cost of the two rings: $3.37, cost to ship: $6.80. Is there something wrong with this picture?????????

I also have been very satisfied with the service and parts from The Filling Station.

I hear you on shipping. It has gotten to the point that many items on EBay are cheaper than the shipping cost. However, many sellers seem to create their profit from large shipping upcharges.

Be sure when you order (ANYTHING) Thats it's all in stock.

Always ask if all items are in stock or some will have to be placed on back order. If they don't ask (always ask me) if you want to wait until all parts can ship together or you want to ship what is available and either ship later (may be a separate shipment for each item) or cancel those on back order, ask them before you finalize your order.

YOu are saying that sometimes they charge AGAIN for the same part if on back order when it finally comes in? That they forget the purchaser already paid for it?

No they don't double charge for the item but do charge for shipping. Some times they will not charge for a back order until it ships.
