i need to test a clock from a 1967 camero to see if it works. there are two conectors on the back and a light with wire but the wiring harness has the conector plus a ground frame connector.

Isolate the A+ connection and connect 12-volt + to that post. The negative wire can go to the frame of the clock. In a quite location, momentarily touch the negative wire to the frame of the clock. You should hear a snap when first connected. If not, you may have burned points inside the clock.

The brass one on the left. Use the other terminal for the ground (-).


(You could test the clock in the system. When you plug in the clock wiring harness it should produce the snap and start working.)
