57 CHEVY POWERGLIDE WHINING NOISE, AT TAKE OFF. I HAVE HEARD POWERGLIDE WHINE BEFORE, BUT IS IT NORMAL

If the noise is coming from the P>G> its probably the front pump making the noise. If the pump is starving from fluid it will whine. Could be low on fluid, pick-up screen plugged-up or seal on pick-up screen not sealing and drawing in air.
Could also be caused by the planet carrier gears but then would be only in low and not after it up-shifts.

I also have a whine in 1st gear with my 48 standard transmission???It only has 3k miles on it
