I removed what was left of the tail lamp bracket from my '36 1.5 ton parts truck. It has a bracket to carry the end of the flexible conduit for the two wires feeding the lamp. It attaches with one of the lamp bolts then curves out away from everything to hover in the right spot to hold the end of the conduit. It has a keyhole shaped hole to poke the conduit through then force it down for a nice friction fit.
I found an item in the parts book that I presume to be the subject part. It is correct for all '36-'39 trucks, but no mention is made of the '34-'35 trucks which use the same lamp.
Does anyone have this item on your truck? I cannot find it as a reproduction part and one of the major vendors of truck stuff told me, after seeing photos, that he had no prior knowledge of this part.
I am thinking of reproducing this part if no one is currently doing so. My original was bent up a little. If one of you guys has an unmolested original, I would like to get some info as to the correct shape of the bends.
I can post a link to the photos if you want to see them.
Thanks.

Mike

Hey Mike, why don't you just post a link to your pictures then if anyone wants to see them they can look at them with a click of the finger, if they don't they can just give it a pass.

Denny,
I entered my post late last night. My computer skills are somewhat limited so I am incapible of putting the link here. I will ask my wife to make the photos available when she gets a chance.

Dunfire,
Thanks for the offer. We'll talk after you see the photos.

Mike

Wow! This is interesting - I just found this post.
Several days back I sent a letter to the Editors of the Generator and Distributor to list a PARTS WANTED ad for this same part. I know exactly the part you are talking about - I have been looking for the part for several months. This may be one of those parts like the bottom half of the spare tire carrier on the 37-39 1/2 ton truck (and up) that no one has and you are lucky to find one.
