Mike McCagh Registered: 11/10/03 Posts: 1853 Loc: cumberland, md	the three fastners that secure the spare tire to the spare tire mounting bracket-----i assume they were carriage bolts and were 7/16 fine thread so as to accept the lug nuts . were the three bolts bolted or secured(how) to the bracket peior to securing the spare tire? otherwise the bolts would fall off once the spare was removed. also, finish of these three critters would be appreciated. thanks guys. mike

Chipper Registered: 11/22/01 Posts: 10239 Loc: The Great State of TEXAS	Mike, The studs are special bolts not just fine thread carriage bolts. Somewhere around here I have some of them but may not be able to find them any time soon. It is an interference fit as the shank is larger than the hole. They can also be piened or crimped in place. _________________________ How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!
