The best known fire truck club is: Society for the Preservation & Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus of America. SPAAMFAA for short.
I was a member from 1989 through 1996. In 1996 I was a member of over 12 clubs and dropped out of all except 5, SPAAMFAA is one I dropped out of.

Chip, I guess my 1941 Chevy/Buffalo Fire Truck was counted some months or years ago.....anyway: I just was noticing that the VCCA Firetruck Forum has 14 threads and 78 hits/comments. It seems we aren't presenting ourselves to the general membership properly. Maybe we should try to do away with all the "car" nonsence (sp?)and put our efforts where it would make the most impact or maybe the VCCA should thro in with SPAMFFA or whatever they call themselves, especially where green fire trucks are concerned. My '32 could be a pretty good red fire chief's car.

Mike, you should know better than to ask if there is a fire truck club. There is a club for every thing. Cars, toys, antiques, etc. How are things going down your way? You are absolutely right. Mike will not get any solution by asking here and there. Search for the proper club.

You guys with Fire Engines need to bring them out!
I believe there were two Fire Engines at Flint, my 1957 and a 1927. I drove mine 650 miles to be there...
As a side note, this years Hallmark Keepsake Christmas Ornament "Fire Engine" was modeled after my truck. which served in Fredericksburg, PA from 1957 to 1995.
Happy Holidays!
Mike B :)
