Two cars I wish I still had: 1. 1956 Chevrolet 2 dr. H.T., solid red with 225 HP dual four barrel engine, bought new in 1956. 2. 1932, 389ci Pontiac powered 1932 F**d roadster, when I stripped the body for paint the words " St. Louis Stock Car Racing Association" were etched on the drivers side door. The car has resurfaced here in town after a forty years absence. My wife also yearns for her 1995 Impala SS.

My last new car. 1957 Bel Air hardtop, 245 HP dual 4 Bbl. that I "up graded" to overdrive. No reason to sell it in 1959 other than I owned it for more than 2 years.

In the early 50's it was the procedure to trade cars about every two years. This corresponded with the model changes. 1958 came along and messed up that routine.

If I had known that growing old would be this much fun---I'd have done it sooner!

A 1964 Chev Impala Conv, red with white top and red trim. I bought it as soon as I was offered a job after I graduated from college. My first new car. It was around $2900. After my dp I had payments of $62 a month.

Traded it in on a 1965 Mustang conv, red with black trim and white top.

Traded the Mustang in on a 1966 Chev Impala 2dr HT, white with black trim.

Wish I'd kept all of them, but the 1964 was my favorite.

I suppose I could get in on this.
#1, A 69 Boss 429 mustang in 1983. Bought it for 6500, sold it for 7500 after 2 or 3 years. Duh.
#2, A 73 455 super duty TA.

I wish I had all of them, count around 32, but I may have missed a couple. The top 3 would probably be: '32 chevy coupe, '49 chevy fleetline , '77 T bird, (yeah I know it's a F**d), but I loved that car! That is not counting the ones I have now: '33 chevy coupe, '37 chevy master sport sedan, '48 fleetline aero sedan plus my daily drivers.

I have many, here are some.(Keep in mind, these cars were a dime a dozen back then)

55 2dr Belair H/T (parted out junked)
57 4dr sw LOADED! padded dash, fact.a/c, windows, seats, ect.(parted out junked)
57 convertible #@*% (This was given to me free with no motor or trans.) I had absolutely no place to keep it and knew then I would some day regret it.
My 68 Caprice! Also loaded with every special option except cruse. Out of fear, I sold it in the 74 "gas shortage".
