old216 Oil Can Mechanic Registered: 09/15/02 Posts: 733 Loc: Bracebridge Onatrio,Canada	I have been looking over my 38 Master project and I have noticed thst the floorshift seems to be almost unlimited in the movement sideways. I have tried shifting through the gears and it appears that I can put it in reverse but any of the other positions create a locked up drivetrain. I won't be working on the mechanical aspects for quite a whike but I am curious as to what would cause these symptoms. _________________________ My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My present project is a 1938 Master Town Sedan.

Chev Nut Registered: 01/08/02 Posts: 14642 Loc: West Allis,Wi.	Its common for the parts in the shift tower (at base of lever) to be worn. The pieces fit from 1937-1947 and are easy to find. One after market outfit even made a kit for this. _________________________ Chevgene
