60U generator. I have three generators that came out of a closed Chevrolet dealership. I thought that I had at least one box but I discovered that I don't. Two have the three mounting holes in the forward end plate. There is another one that has just the, more common, two holes. 60Us were all rebuilds, I believe. (See Gene's answer to my question about these generators on 02/11/10.) None are show quality on the outside. They will need to be cleaned some and repainted for that. They come with the snap cover (band) but no belt pulley. If you buy and are not completely satisfied, then merely ship back and I will refund the cost plus shipping in both directions. I think I can get one in a square $10.00 flat-rate box. I think $75.00 is a fair price but I'll let any of them go for $60.00 plus $10.00 for shipping. If you buy, tell me which type end plate you want. P.S. Please let me know your applicable car's year and I'll try to throw in something extra, if I have anything. Contact me if you have any questions. Thanks, Charlie

Because there has been no interest in this part, I am taking it down as of this posting. Thanks for looking. Best, Charlie

Hello Hello: I'm trying to find a Delco Remy 943J generator, either rebuilt or in good condition to be rebuilt for my newly acquired 35 Chevrolet Standard. Are any of yours of this model, I'm not sure of the tag "60U", thanks

Please see Gene's comment about this. I'm no expert. The 60U lists for 29-39. They're refurbished. They have the three brush set up. Please do the search for 60U or just ask Gene.
Best, Charlie

The 60U is a Universal Delco Remy generator and is a new unit. If used on a 1929-33 the third bruch is adjusted to a 12 AMP charge max. Also the cut-out mounts a litle different.

I don't have a 943J but I do have a 60U. I'm not sure but I think you can take the guts out and put them in a original equipment generator. I hope you find the 943J but if you don't, let me know if you're interested in the 60U. Best, Charlie
