33 Master. I'm looking for the correct routing of the oil line from the oil distributor to the gauge. The old line has a clip about 9" from one end that looks like it might be fastened on an long oil pan screw that would extend up through the bottom flange of the block. Does this seem reasonable? Any advice on the rest of the line route would also help.
Incidentally, is there a name or description for the line fittings used to connect at the oil distributor and the gauge? I've never seen anything like them before.
This vehicle came to me in boxes and grocery bags (with some boxes missing, I think) and seems like a big jigsaw puzzle (with lots of pieces missing). Any help will be appreciated. Pictures would be a big help.
Soon, I hope to figure out how to attach pictures to my posts, but being mostly computer illiterate, that's a challenge. I looked over the procedure and my eyes glossed over, big time. Ed Frey efreyaaverizonnt

Yes, the oil line clip attaches to the long oil pan screw on the flange of the engine block as you suspected.

The tubing ends are "Threaded Sleeve Nuts". Oil lines are one of the few applications for these relatively rare items.

I found this oil line routing description on this forum awhile back - not sure who to credit it to...

"the gauge line came out of the oil distributor went rearward along the top of the lower block to oil pan flange (about 1/2" above flange), retained by a sheet metal retainer attached to one long oil pan screw with a square nut just to rear of exhaust outlet & pipe, then up the firewall to the center grommet; then into the interior instrument panel"
