Bobkra Shade Tree Mechanic Registered: 12/28/09 Posts: 51 Loc: NC,USA	I need some help assembling the engine. What should torque be on connecting rods, main bearings.? What should the clearance be on the main bearings and rod bearings.? I am trying to test oil pump by turning engine over. why can't I get oil to come out of pressure gauge line?

AntiqueMechanic Registered: 12/02/01 Posts: 7721 Loc: Vancouver, WA	Hi, Mains ~ 60, Rods ~ 35 .001 - .002 You must prime the oil pump by putting oil in one of the lines or overfill by 1/2 - 1 Qt.
