What does part no.376180 (extension, brake pull back spring) look like? This is supposed to be12 5/8" long according to the parts book.

Pat,
I can't find it illustrated in my catalog. Have you checked your shop manual to see if it appears in one of the under car photos? It could be a heavy wire with a loop at each end or a strap with a hole at each end??? Maybe if you pose the question to the '34 Master guys with location, etc, one of them will go take a look for you. It apparently only fits the DA. Good luck.

Mike

The 376180 extension is listed in the 1934 parts book as "Extension, service brake pull back spring...RHD" = right hand drive.
The extension for a left hand drive car is 364477 and I don't see that number in the 1939 book. The 376180 number shows there for the LHD..

Picture on page 93 and 97 of 1934 shop manual......extension can barely be seen but the pull back spring can be seenjust behind the cross shaft on the left side of the frame just under the L. R. brake cable. The extension hooks onto the frame a the rear and to the spring in the front.

Thanks everyone. For the time being, I found a long spring that appears to do the job. The photos in the shop manual show the location of it as Gene points out but they certainly don't show what it looks like. It's likely some kind of rod with hooked ends. Nest time I'm close to a DA, I'll crawl underneath and look.
