Hello all....
While laying on my garage floor I was continuing to clean the underside of the car and decided to wipe down the oil pan. As I was cleaning it, I noticed that there was no colour/paint on it. Were the oil pans painted and, if so, what colour were they? What paint should I use especially since these are subjected to oil drippings and such /
Thanks,
Cliff

The oil pans were indeed painted and they were painted the same color of the engine....dark blue-gray. You can get the correct engine paint from the Filling Station.

Hey JunkYardDogJunkYardDog
If I pull the oil pan will the gasket be reusealble or should I replace it ? Can I make my own gasket or should I order one up and go NOS ?

The pan is to be painted engine color. You can obtain the correct color and type paint from the Filling station.

If I had known that growing old would be this much fun---I'd have done it sooner!

On the oil pan gaskets, definitely use new gaskets and you can get those from the Filling Station as well.
