For members of VCCA, my name is Barry Thomas. I inherited a 1952 Chev Bel Air Hardtop (automatic) from my father-in-law, Robert (Bob) Sparkes (Orangeville, Ontario). He was married to Joyce Sparkes. The car has its own spot in the garage, got $2K worth of work done last year to make it roadworthy again. It has a loving home, and will remain unmodified, just as he would like.
Barry... My family toured with the Sparkes' for many years with the Southern Ont. Region. They are the nicest people. I remember going to Bob's basement to see his model train collection when I was about 7-8. Hope the car is in as nice of shape as I remember it. Are you in O'ville as well? I'm twenty min. away in Bolton...

I hope this link works for the photos of the 52 Chev. The only work that I have HAD to do is replace the gas tank and the fuel pump. Get to see how well the pump works soon. The old pump looks gunked up, but I am having trouble removing the glass bowl so that I can get a better look.
Barry... if you paste the image code from the drop down below the picture, it will paste the actual pic, not just the link. Great to see that Bob's hardtop is being well cared for. It looks good with the wide white walls. I remember they always had radials with skinny white walls on them. It looks much better now.
