Yes! Now I have an excuse why I've only got this far on my truck despite working on it since I was 15. Working part time for minimum wage is not exactly conducive to old car restoration. Of course I don't have a phone or tv or home internet and I wear worn out clothes so most money I make does go into the truck.

I'm impressed. Being a student and rebuilding anything is great accomplishment. The engine sounds great (I looked at your profile). Good job !!

Yes it is Toronto Blue. Got this car when I was 14 as a father son project 30 years later and walla it's done. We got it from an old neighbor of my dads family up on the farm my dad used to get rides to school in this car when "Leo" would hall his milk cans to town in the trunk. Yes it took a while to get it done. When I got my drivers license it kinda took a back seat to the cooler "chick magnet" Camaro so that car got me my wife and then the kids came so it took the back seat again for a while Now that my daughter is in college and my son is the age I was when we got the car I was finaly able to finish the car with my dad.

This matches my story too...wife, house, kids, and finally it gets restored!! Except it took me forty years and some inheritance money!!!

That thing is looking great!!!!! I had to wait until I was well out of school to even begin to start my restoration and even then it took me 8 years to afford and complete it. Your chassis looks fantastic!!!

I personally love all types of old cars in any condition. My first choice with my truck was to just get it running and enjoy it. Once I got into it I quickly realized that it was far too gone to do that and next thing you know........

Anyhow, I cant wait to see your truck!

I don't think its ever too late to start anything new in life'
As far as a rich man's hobby I would have to question that?
I myslef am not a rich $$$ person, We all have to position ourselves in life so that we can enjoy it with out some of the hardships that are ever present for all of us' All my cars are old and are 20footers' or more and I like them that way' I can only speak for myself, but as a fellow VCCA member if I can ever be of any assistance to you, all you have to do is ask'
I think as members we all can help one another in some form?
Remember a true rich man is the one with most freinds and not the amount of money or things that he or she has"
We all must be happy with what we have while working for what we want.
Happy motoring'
