The front bumper on my 49 Chev has CHEVROLET recessed into it at the top. I see where they sell black decals for this. On the original, was it a decal or was it painted black. Thanks.

The 1949 had the Chevrolet in block letters on the top grille bar. The letters were painted black. I would prefer the decal any day as it "sticks" and looks better than being painted by hand.....and no one will know the difference.
