I just purchased a 1938 Sedan as a project. It has a hole in the cowl in front of the windshield. Where was the correct location for the antenna? If this isn't correct I will fill it in with new metal.

WOW _ This indicates the truck project has been completed yipp

The correct location for the antenna on a 1938 is under the runng boards (straps) or a roof top antenna that looks like a fish poll tied to the top.

Most common now days to find a whip antenna attached to the side of the cowl. This is correct for a 1939 but not a 1938.

This subject was discussed at length a month or so ago, perhaps you can find the thread.

Thanks Gene. I have a hole just in front of the windshield on the passenger side so it has to go.

I am having fun driving the truck. Last year I put 4000 miles on it going to events.
