I am removing the engine from my 51 and would like to know if the brace that the front lamp wiring runs thru is welded in place. If so is it common practice to "break the weld" and remove it or is there a better way??

Thanks Gene, Sorry for the slow response, but I'm on dial up and right now in our area we have more wires on the ground than I have ever seen. The wind was strong enough that it actually flipped a tractor trailer tanker unit! It was just delivered last month and now is a total wreck!!
