I have the oportunity to purchase some 6 stud 20 inch wire spoked wheels however Im not 100% sure they are chev as Ive only seen emailed photos to date. I thought chev didnt start fitting wire wheels until 1930 and then they were 19inch. Did chevrolet make a 20 inch wire spoked wheel and if so could anyone post a picture to show shape of hub. My apologies if this topic has been covered but couldnt find anything under key word searches.
Ok I did find a thread that suggest 20 inch wires were an option in 29 but describes the hub as small like a model A. The wheels Im looking at are more like chev wires with a wide central hub enclosing the 6 studs. Across the face of the hub opening is a Y shaped steel bracket (part of the hub actually) presumable for attaching hub cap with a central bolt.

1930 to 1931 wire wheels are 19 inches in diameter for the tyres, with an rim outside diameter of 20 3/8 " . 1932-33 then were reduced down to 18 tyres with a rim outside diameter of 19 3/8". the center of the hub for the hubcaps was open with no bracket across.
Thanks for the help guys. Vendor emailed me today saying he now does not think they are chev but rather from an english car. Was too good to be true. (perhaps he is a member of this forum).
