Earlier when I said, "sitting on the internet," I meant to say, "sitting on the interstate." Whoops.
Well, I bought the engine. It came with a huge bucket-o-parts too. Some of which are the old parts which were replaced. I'm holding my fingers crossed that there's a carter carburetor in there somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath.
If we can just make it home without hitting any blizzards we'll be doing ok. People are SO STUPID when it comes to driving on roads with potential black ice.
Anyone know of anyone near Nashville TN that's good with these engines that could take a look at it and see if it looks like I have a potentially runable engine? It looked decent to me from what I saw and tested, but then again, my knowledge is limited.

Wow. What a trip. I apparently got food poisoning. Luckily the whole family went, or I would have been stuck there. The trip back was pretty miserable, but, at least we didn't get caught in any huge blizzards.

Ha, I wish it had just been from that, it would have worn off quicker.

Hhahahaha. That's the truth. I'm embarrassed to say it, but it's the truth. I just want to drive the car, that's all, nothing fancy, so my dad actually went in on half with me so I could get it running.... not to mention he also went in half when I bought the car.... if I sell it we split it (pray that doesn't happen) or eventually buy his half out.
I can't wait for it to be daily driver material. (except for rain and snow)

Dad and I got it out of the borrowed trailer we brought it home in and used the front end loader on the tractor to put the engine on an old motorcycle trailer (with some tires). Then we used the 4 wheeler to stuff the trailer over in a corner of the barn with a few inches to spare for the tractor to get by. Hopefully when the weather warms up I can begin getting the engine ready for install and a test start/run.
It's a bit early, but I hope to start another post about what to do to get an unknown engine potentially ready for a start, and also where to find a book or literature on how to rebuild one of these motors. I'll probably post this later on several of the old inline forums. I want to learn as much as possible and every part of these motors.
Unfortunately, the box-o-parts didn't come with a carburetor like I'd hoped. I can't remember if my carb is a tiltotson or a marvel. Are these expensive to rebuild, or are there even kits to rebuild these carbs? I'd like to get a carter eventually, but that's future plans. Short term goals are to get her reliable, then worry about what I consider "upgrades." (like a heater, hahaha)
